Seattle Art Museum – Seattle

This past weekend we had the opportunity to visit the Seattle Art Museum during the visit of the “Peacock in the Desert: The Royal Arts of Jodhpur India”.

We’ve been trying to do all of the indoor things during the winter, since the summer sunshine is too precious to spend time indoors. Zach and I had not been the SAM at all since moving here, so when we were able to score some free tickets we were very excited!

We really enjoyed the traveling exhibit with all of the detailed paintings, royal jewels and weapons, and the ornate decorations. I am always enthralled by items that are older than a couple hundred years since those items don’t exist from American history since we are a young country.

We also enjoyed seeing the more permanent exhibits in the museum including paintings from modern and contemporary artist, Mark Rothko.

We had a great time meandering through all four floors of the museum and can’t wait to see more exhibits that travel through.

Much love,

Chelsea
