Mount Rainier National Park – June 2022

Chelsea’s parents came to visit the PNW so we went to see the snowy park, wildlife, and peaks!

Longmire

The first section of the park has small hot springs, basalt columns, and large trees. Lots of Twilight vibes!

Paradise

The main stop for many people is Paradise visitor center. This area has a lodge, trail heads for the summit, and great views of the peak.

In June Paradise is just starting to be accessible and has a lot of snow. In July all this snow is gone and trails, grass and flowers emerge.

I was lucky and got a couple shots of an avalanche! It is in the right side of this photo.

The lodge has some great views of the surrounding peaks. There is a gift shop, cafe, and snack shop inside the main lobby. We loved going here to sit with a cup of tea to feel cozy.

While there were still feet and feet of snow, we were seeing all varieties of wildlife

I love this Ranger Station! It is one of the cutest ones I have ever seen.

We had such a fun time with my parents visiting us!

Reflection Lakes

After Paradise we drove down to Reflection Lakes. They were still snowy and pretty frozen, but the view was lovely!

Falls

We stopped on our way out of the park to check out one of the waterfalls!

Homeward Bound

On our way home, the sunset was stunning and we felt so lucky to see such a beautiful skyline.

We’ve always had a great time at this park and will miss it so much. We will just have to come back and visit in the future! 😉

Much love,

Chelsea
