12 Books in 2021

For 2021, I wanted to try to read 12 books. Last year I really enjoyed reading more and wanted to continue the trend into the new year.

I have always tracked my reading habits on pinterest, but wanted to dive a little deeper into why I read the ones I did and if I recommend them.

The first few books are the Harry Potter illustrated books by Jim Kay. I received these as a Christmas gift, but never took the time to read them in their entirety. I wanted to revisit Harry Potter and take my time to look at all of the illustrations. Jim Kay is incredibly talented. He would create clay models of the creatures as he imagined them to create his paintings, which I just found so incredible. You can read more on his website as it is definitely worth the time.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone – Illustrated by Jim Kay

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets – Illustrated by Jim Kay

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban – Illustrated by Jim Kay

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire – Illustrated by Jim Kay

The Connected Child – Karyn B. Purvis Ph. D, David R. Cross, and Wendy Lyons Sunshine

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by JK Rowling

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince by JK Rowling

Harry potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling

Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

Lost Horizon by James Hilton

No Mere Mortals by Toby Sumpter

Dune by Frank Herbert (watch my review of the book on YouTube!)

I am quite excited to have completed my New Year goal of 12 books for the whole year! Most of the books were Harry Potter, but I feel like this is a good foundation to build on for future years. What books do you think I should read next? Sci-Fi and Fantasy have taken a hold on me, and I am really enjoying those genres!

Much Love,

Chelsea
