Check out this unexpected hangout just North of Seattle!
While living in Seattle I was always on the hunt for the best water-side parks. I wanted to see the sunset, the distant Olympic Mountains, and enjoy the water. Seattle has a few parks that check the boxes but they are always insanely busy and crowded due to their locations. Once we moved up North in 2021 we discovered the beaches and pier in Edmonds.

30 minutes out of Seattle proper, the park has a small green space with views of the water. There is also a walking path that will take you from the green area, up through the boat dock and to the pier close to the Kingston Ferry terminal.

On the pier we have seen herons, sea gulls, seals, and loons. This is a great place to watch wildlife, crab fisherman, and soak in that coveted Vitamin D!

The sunset from the pier and the park is absolutely stellar. The colors glowing and framing the mountains creates the perfect view.

Hopefully this park provides some peace outside of the city. Be sure to check out the downtown Edmonds area as well! It is so cute with small-town vibes.
Much Love,
Chelsea
